[ his jersey. hinata stares at kenma for a second with his eyes huge and round and wide and then yells, so delighted actual words escape him as he scurries forward to take it from him, holding it up in the air and twirling around in a circle with it.] Uwah--my jersey!?! Kenma, you asked for my jersey?!
This is really it! [ and picking it up and putting it to his nose, with a big deep inhale... ] It even smells like Salonpas!! [ and sweaty teenage boy probably. he remembers himself midway through snuggling the jersey to his cheek, and his head snaps up, smile still huge on his face. ] You did that for me--Kenma, you're the best!!
[ Kenma's face goes from being expectant to being utterly, absolutely flushed with abashment, a tint of pink colouring his cheeks all the way to the tips of his ears as he watches and listens to Hinata react to the jersey.
He hardly knows what to say in response to that, so it takes him a few moments, and then he ducks his head down, almost hiding the smile that appears on his lips with his long hair. ]
There, uhm, wasn't really anything I wanted from home, and... I thought you'd like to have your jersey because you like it so much and it's the number 10 and... [ He trails off, having spoken more than he'd even wanted in his embarrassment. ]
And it's my jersey!! [ hinata is absolutely effervescent as he holds it out again to look at it again--his jersey is his jersey, not a knock off or anything. it's the same jersey the little giant wore, and it's his dreams in a tangible form. ]
Kenma, thank you, thank you, thank you!! I can't even say thank you enough!! [ seriously he is exuding joy at the moment, and he positively beams at his best friend. the best. ] You're the best best friend ever!
[ God, Hinata, you're going to make him combust... His face feels way too hot for his liking but... Well, it's worth any embarrassment of his own, being able to see his best friend so absolutely ecstatic. Entirely worth it. ]
