[ oops, he didn't mean to yell that right into the phone, although hinata may realize he's also hearing suga's voice twice now as his senpai is not too far behind him. ]
[ yes, yes he is still running. his panicked sprint has gotten him to the end of the street and he only stops when he hears suga's voice in twin, mostly because it occurs to him that that's kind of weird. he's at least sort of slowed down a little now. maybe. mostly because he's not sure which direction he should be running in. ] Yes--yes, yes, I'm sorry, yes!!
[ suga finally stops talking into the phone, although he doesn't hang up yet just in case, and focuses on trying to get hinata's attention instead. ]
Hinata! Turn around!
[ the neighbours are probably wondering who's yelling and waving their arms like a madman, but there's no time to care about that when he needs to make sure hinata is okay. ]
[ hinata stops so fast his arms have to windmill, more attuned to listen to his vice captain then to keep running, and he abruptly uses those freakish reflexes to pivot around on his foot. there's suga, sure enough--a face hinata's really, really really happy to see.
he slows down and jogs to meet him instead, still looking a little wild eyed. ] Sugawara-san!!
[ suga finally turns off his phone, walking the rest of the way so he doesn't have to holler to be heard by the younger teen. all the nervous energy and tension from earlier leaves his body immediately and a relieved smile makes its way on his face instead. ]

[ he should probably get to explaining things, but he's just going to reach out and give him a friendly pat on the back instead. ]
[ there's something about suga that's ridiculously calming--like hinata wants to please him all the time calming, but it's still not helping him freak out over the fact that he's in some weird place and missing the match with ushiwaka right this very second. ]

[ hinata's hands come up and he starts waving them around, wildly, up through his hair and back down and all over the place, talking at a hundred miles an hour. he doesn't stop for breath once: ] I just saw you a few minutes ago and now we're here and I woke up in a lawn chair and I know my house doesn't have a lawn chair we don't even have a lawn and I need to call my mom so she knows I'm not dead and what about the match?!
[ it's hard to try and get a word in, so he settles for waiting until hinata stop talking. once he's sure the other boy is out of energy for the moment, he quickly interrupts to start explaining —

You didn't miss the match! [ with that out of the way, it's probably time to start dropping some truth bombs. suga takes in a deep breath before continuing in his nicest, calmest tone. ]
You see... we're not actually anywhere near home right now. [ wait no that might backfire ] But don't worry!! It's not as horrible as it sounds!
[ he sighs, slumping a little. no one had warned him that trying to explain things would be as confusing as trying to understand them in the first place. what had helped him get the hang of the situation...? ]
[ luckily he seems to have tired himself out a little with his freakout, and hinata does stop and breathe even if he has to clamp his mouth shut to listen to suga. he has about a hundred thousand questions to ask, and he opens it to say something when he says "near home right now" but claps it shut again when he keeps talking. listening to your senpai, hinata, it's important. ]
